Financial Responsibility of Europeans

Zack Rosenberg | August 17th, 2009

As recently as last week, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to visit Europe. It has been four years since I was last there and a lot has changed. One of the greatest surprises was being welcomed as an American. On my previous visit, my family and I were spit at in Italy. Now they yell, “We Love Obama.”

Now that I am a little older, I became aware of something that was hardly on my radar during my earlier trip but was very evident this time around. In Europe the culture is all about living within your means. Americans, in particular, pride themselves on over indulgence. We even praise the Paris Hilton  types who are able to achieve the American dream without having to ever lift a finger. The

You Would Not Believe How People Pick Stocks

wayne wilderson effect

With stock prices hitting rock bottom, I keep thinking it’s now or never to jump into the market. Question is for a newbie, what’s a good strategy for picking stocks? Is it any different than walking into a casino or going to a race track and having a feeling about a lonely slot machine or a horse with a name you like? I’ve been asking around for advice and in the process, noticed a pattern I’m calling the Wayne Wilderson effect. What is that? Hang in there and I’ll tell you.

Review of Mint.com

Zack Rosenberg | March 26th, 2009

I shutter to think how much of my personal information is on the internet. My photo’s, career, education, etc. At this point Google probably knows what I am wearing right now as I write this. None of the less I decided to try out Mint.com after hearing some really great things about it and at this point why not put my most personal financial information out on the web? I mean I use online banking, I even pay bills

Recently laid off? Start a business.

Zack Rosenberg | March 3rd, 2009

The economy might be tough, but I believe the entrepreneurial spirit is tougher. Recently the news has paid an inordinate amount of attention to the plight of laid off workers who are desperately searching for new jobs. In previous periods of high unemployment, the banks were still relatively healthy and in a position to lend money, which fueled an increase in the number of small business start ups.

Zack Rosenberg | February 1st, 2009

Unlike all the other experts of the Trusted Expert Network, I am not a personal finance, investment, tax, retirement or long term care expert. I am, however, a taxpaying citizen who has thoughts on the economic stimulus package that was just passed by the House and is now moving to the Senate.

The Trusted Expert Network Introduces QUICKQUOTES

Jericho, NY (March 23, 2009) –   Financial news is updated and disseminated at a rapid speed, forcing print, broadcast and blog journalists to require immediate access to financial experts for comments and to substantiate the facts. In order to aide business reporters and all journalists alike, the Trusted Expert Network, is pleased to introduce QUICKQUOTES.

In four hours or less, a representative from the Trusted Expert Network will respond to your inquiry for a quote, a confirmation of facts, a recommended story angle or a credible referral for more information.

Brought together in 2008, the Trusted Expert Network is a group of experienced and highly knowledgeable professionals in the fields of finance, business, law, insurance and technology.

The Trusted Expert Network team includes:

* Lee Rosenberg, Certified Financial Planner, co-founder of ARS Financial Services and author with over thirty years experience;
* Sy Goldberg, CPA, MBA, JD, senior partner at law firm Goldberg & Goldberg, P.C., Professor Emeritus of Law and Taxation at Long Island University;
* Henry Montag, Independent Certified Financial Planner and CLTC;
* George Thomas Mathew, MD, MBA and affordable health care specialist;
* Dr. Milliken, President and CEO of EJM Consulting Services; and,
* Douglas Gerhardt, member of Harris Beach PLLC, practicing with the Educational Institutions Team and Labor & Employment Law Practice Group.

Last week, the Wall Street Journal took advantage of this unique opportunity and got an immediate quote for an online story via QUICKQUOTE.

In the March 17th article by M.P. McQueen, “Worry Grows Over Insurers As Ratings Slip,” McQueen quoted Henry Montag saying, “So many of the major companies like the Prudentials and Hartfords have been downgraded, that I am bringing it up rather than waiting for clients to bring it up.” He also indicated that he is now pairing new clients with insurers “that are more financially stable and secure even if the premiums are higher.”

The Trusted Expert Network, a distinguished team of experts called upon by news sources daily, are excited to streamline the process when assisting reporters. The developers of the QUICKQUOTES program have made this a easy-to-use platform and can assure users that a representative will respond within at least four hours.

For more information, or to utilize this service, visit www.trustedexpertnetwork.com and click on the QUICKQUOTES link.

The Trusted Expert Network, the First Site Offering Free, Expert Advice Has Launched
Jericho, NY, November 10, 2008 –(PR.com)– In response to the current financial crisis and the predictions from Wall Street and President-elect Obama that economic relief is a minimum year off, Certified Financial Planner and author, Lee Rosenberg, nationally known tax attorney and author Sy Goldberg and Certified Financial Planner Henry Montag have formed the Trusted Expert Network. The network offers consumers free, timely, expert advice on a wide variety of financial matters that impact critical decisions in the areas of investing, insurance, taxes, the law and most important, retirement planning.

In addition to blogging by the co-founders, there will be numerous expert contributors sharing the most current, definitive advice on everything from using online financial tools to understanding market trends and changes in the tax laws and retirement plans such as 403Bs. In addition, there will be ongoing commentary and opinions such as Lee Rosenberg’s column, “What I Know That You Need To.”

“The financial world has been rocked in a way that we have never experienced in our thirty plus years of advising our clients,” said Certified Financial Planner, Lee Rosenberg, “but there is a road to recovery. The key is to understand how the playing field has changed, and how it has not. The basic ground rules of investing still hold up, but others must change with the times.”

“It is very exciting for those of us who have been advising clients for our entire careers spanning decades to now be able to share our expertise and wisdom with an expanded audience, “ said co-founder and nationally known tax attorney and author, Sy Goldberg. “By combining our expertise and individual views, we are one of the only sites not tied to a print publication offering consumers unbiased and tested strategies for financial relief.”

In addition to providing expert advice, Trusted Expert Network.com will be offering both online and on-site financial seminars over the coming months. Many will be free to the public and will cover a wide range of topics that reflect the greatest concerns about investing, retirement, taxes and insurance.

Visit the website on a regular basis for the seminar schedule and the most up to date financial facts and views. www.trustedexpertnetwork.com.
