Review: Billshrink.com

Have you ever wondered if you are paying too much for your phone bill? How about your credit cards? Of course you have because you know you probably are. Every month I open my phone bill to find that my $80 bill is coming in closer to $150! Those are real American dollars. How can this be?

Billshrink.com is one of the most unique financial tools I have found on the Internet to help you figure out if you’re way overpaying, and it’s simple too. The premise is basically this. Give them information about your phone or credit card usage and they will provide you with a viable alternative.

Phone: I have never been thrilled with my phone service but never put much thought into changing plans. There are so many options, how do I know I am getting the best deal? I’ve gone into phone stores to check out my options but they only know about their plans, not anyone elses. With Billshrink, I entered my phone number and password to my online account (if you don’t feel comfortable doing so, don’t) and within seconds they produced a report showing me things about my phone usage I never expected. I can’t explain why I use 3x as many minutes on a Tuesday than any other day, or why 95% of my calls and text messages are to 4 people, but, by changing my plan they can now be free. That is some great insight!

Credit Cards: Now right off the bat the answer is no. No, you do not have to give any detailed information or anything personal. Does that put you at ease? Their credit card tool asks questions like how much do you spend and what do you use that particular card for. I chose dining and restaurants and in 2 steps it returned the card that offers a low interest rate and the most bonus points for dining out.

I understand that their business model to generate leads for the services you are researching but, that has not deterred me from considering Billshrink.com a top notch service for reducing my monthly expenditures. No real personal information is needed and it is free to users. Check them out and let me know what you think.
